Physiological effects
- Menowell® SALVIA contains plant-based sage extract as an active ingredient, which is standardised to rosmarinic acid. The benefits of sage (Salvia officinalis) on women’s health are known for a long time for its natural body-balancing effect. It supports the wellbeing of middle-aged women f.ex. by reducing sweating effectively.
- Changes in hormone levels make hypotalamus, responsible for the body’s thermoregulation, to vary body temperature occasionally. Sage helps to regulate body temperature as it has hormone balancing effects.
- Menopause symptoms are very common. Over 80 % of the women in menopause age suffer from autonomic nervous system symptoms, such as night sweats and hot flushes. Stressful lifestyle may also increase the menopause symptoms.
