INDICATION: Protective treatment of the oesophageal mucosa. Ziverel facilitates mucosal repair and relieves symptoms such as burning and pain.
Ziverel is a medical device that allows rapid relief of gastro-oesophageal reflux symptoms such as pyrosis, epigastric pain, acid reflux, irritative cough and dysphonia.
The most representative form of oesophageal mucosal disorders is Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
GERD is characterised by certain symptoms (e.g. pyrosis, acid reflux, irritative cough and dysphonia) that can occur together with inflammatory erosive lesions of the oesophageal mucosa.
GERD is usually exacerbated when lying down so symptoms can become worse during the night.
Ziverel is a combination of hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate which together provide a mechanism that protects and helps to repair the gastro-oesophageal mucosa.
The presence of a highly bioadhesive component (poloxamer 407) in the formulation of Ziverel allows the hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate to stay on the surface of the oesophageal wall, thus contributing to the protective effect against the action of the hydrochloric acid and pepsin produced by the stomach.
Chondroitin sulfate also has an action that promotes the repair process of the gastro-oesophageal mucosa.
COMPOSITION/INGREDIENTS
Hyaluronic acid, sodium salt, sodium chondroitin sulfate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, xylitol C,
sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, flavouring, water and poloxamer 407.
PACK SIZE
20 stick packs of 10 ml for oral use.
DOSE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Take the contents of one stick pack after each meal and at bedtime or as instructed by your healthcare professional.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
There are no contraindications in particular. In cases of hypersensitivity to any of the components, stop treatment and contact your healthcare professional. Although there are no known side effects, this product is not to be used during pregnancy or in the first months of breastfeeding. It is always advisable to check with your healthcare professional before use.
WARNINGS
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Contact your healthcare professional if symptoms persist. Do not
use the product after the date of expiry shown on the packaging. Store the product in a cool, dry place away from any sources of heat. Do not freeze. Keep the product out of sight and reach of children.
