Physiological effects

Calcia® Luusto Tripla supplement contains well-absorbed VitaMK7® menaquinone, i.e. vitamin K2, plant-derived vitamin D3 from lichen and natural AquaminTM calcium carbonate from Lithothamnion calcaereum.

The product does not contain any ingredients of animal origin, so it is also suitable for vegans.
Vitamin K is an important regulator of blood clotting.

We get vitamin K from vegetables and as a result of the action of intestinal bacteria. Vitamin K in plants is vitamin K1 or phylloquinone. Intestinal bacteria produce vitamin K2, i.e. menaquinone.

Natural VitaMK7® menaquinone is produced by fermentation and no chemical substances are used in its manufacturing process.

Mineral buildups on the artery and vein walls are called vascular calcifications. These mineral deposits can occasionally adhere to plaques or fatty deposits that have previously formed on the walls of blood vessels. Vascular calcifications are frequent yet may be dangerous.

Regulation of blood coagulation is not the only function of vitamin K: vitamin K2 prevents calcification of blood vessels nutritionally. The narrowing of blood vessels, or calcification, that occurs in connection with cardiovascular diseases is not only caused by cholesterol, but also by the accumulation of calcium in the walls of blood vessels.

Vitamin K2 prevents the accumulation of calcium in the walls of blood vessels and helps calcium to attach to the bones, strengthening the bones.

Vitamin D maintains immunity, enhances calcium absorption, maintains calcium balance and is important for bones, teeth and muscles. The plant-derived vitamin D3 contained in the product enhances the adhesion of calcium to the bone tissue.

Calcium is an essential mineral for humans throughout life. It is needed e.g. as a building material for bones and teeth and for normal growth.

Clinically tested, natural plant-based Aquamin™ calcium carbonate comes from the Lithothamnion calcaereum seaweed that grows in the clear waters of Iceland. It contains 72 different minerals, in addition to calcium, e.g. magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, boron, manganese and molybdenum.

Lime is collected from the waters of south-west and north-west Iceland and only dead, calcified algae is collected. In this way, the collection is on an ecologically sustainable basis.
